We had our usual Friday night dinner at the ARC house and then took our cruise around town. After a good night’s sleep, we got up running the Easter Egg Hunt at Vernon Dahmer Park. We appreciate the hard work Cookie Smith and her group from USM. Everyone had a wonderful time at the egg hunt, picnic, and all of the other great activities. After the picnic, we stayed in the park and enjoyed outdoor play in the beautiful sunshine. You must see Ryan Henley’s tan he got from swinging for two hours. We made a visit to Forrest General Hospital to see Kristi Breazeale and she shared pictures of the baby with all the children. And yes, it was time to eat again. After a long day, we were ready to sit down and enjoy more of the Murphy’s wonderful catfish. We appreciate their great food, wonderful hospitality, and the discount that they provided. We truly had a great weekend and we look forward to seeing you in April. --Brittany, Vincent, Mrs. Chatman, Sarah & Cindy Our thanks to the following people who made contributions to ARC last month:Monetary DonationsKeithann Carter MemorialIn memory of Herchell Shattles, Prescott Brown, “Cap’n Hooks” Langlinais, Elizabeth Pittman, and Robert House by Jim and Sue Gallaspy In memory of Mildred Ansley, Orrin Battle, Jr. & Marguerite Correro by Cindy Pennington SCHOLARSHIP SUMMER ADVENTURES:Hal & Donnie Walker Hattiesburg Alumnae Chapter, Delta Sigma Theta Our Thoughts and PrayersAre with Tom Ferrill (Hallie’s Dad) as he has recently had a hip replacement. Thank YouI wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone who supported Joey in the Volvo for life competition. While Joey’s name was the one on the ballot, the honor was actually for all the wonderful teen volunteers who give countless hours and tireless effort to support our children. Although we may not have won, the exposure that the competition brought focused a great deal of attention on the ARC of Forrest County and the wonderful things that are going on.
